Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Cleared to Land ("the game") is a virtual reality game for Meta Quest made by Pratik Pansare ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game uses and why. We keep it to the minimum needed for online leaderboards.
What we collect
Leaderboards (Unity Gaming Services). When the game is online it signs you in to Unity Gaming Services anonymously. No email address, password or real name is involved. This creates and stores:
- an anonymous player ID generated by Unity;
- your pilot callsign (a two-word name chosen in the game from a fixed word list, or a random name generated by Unity);
- your scores: aircraft landed per airfield and survival times, with the time they were set.
As with any online service, Unity's servers also receive technical information needed to deliver the service, such as your IP address and basic device and platform details.
Your callsign and scores are shown publicly on the in-game leaderboards to other players.
Purchase verification (Meta). On launch the game asks the Meta Horizon platform whether your Meta account owns the game. This check is handled by Meta under Meta's own privacy policy; the game only receives whether you are entitled to play.
Crash reports. If the game crashes, the Unity engine may send a crash report (technical details such as device model, operating system version and the error) to Unity so we can fix the problem.
What we do not collect
- No real name, email address, phone number or payment information (purchases are handled entirely by Meta).
- No camera, passthrough, microphone, eye-tracking, face-tracking or hand-tracking data.
- No precise location.
- No advertising, no ad tracking, and no selling or sharing of data with advertisers or data brokers.
How we use it
Only to run the global leaderboards (showing callsigns, scores and ranks) and to find and fix crashes. We do not use it for anything else.
Stored on your headset
Your settings (volumes, comfort options, drawing hand), career progress, personal best times and chosen callsign are saved only on your headset. They are removed when you uninstall the game.
How long we keep it
Leaderboard entries and the anonymous player ID are kept for as long as the leaderboards run, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices and rights
- You can play without the internet. Scores are then saved only on your headset.
- You can change your callsign at any time in Settings → Pilot name.
- To see or delete your leaderboard data, email us with your callsign. Because accounts are anonymous, please also include the approximate dates and scores so we can find your entries. We reply within 30 days.

Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The data above is anonymous gameplay data. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
